A Goofy Family

I know this won't be much of a surprise to any of you, but I will finally admit it....we're a goofy family. For ex., here's my hubby just looking goofy. And here is Sam being goofy with his dinner.

And I recently made my hubby take a pic of me in the new pj's I got for x-mas.
Poor Sam, it's probably genetic at this point.

Someone You Know?

I had to go back to work this week. It was slow and painfully boring. So, I went to the bank to have a document notarized. I had someone in Pasadena, CA figure out my credit card number and went on a little shopping spree. I was a little offended that they only went to Marshall's, Blockbuster and Jack In The Box....I have much better credit than that - ha!.

But I digress....So, as I was waiting in the bank for the notary to return from his lunch break (yep, that's how bored I was), this man came in looking for a bank mgr.
I heard him telling the manager that he needed some documentation from them with his name and social security number on it because he won $12,000 from the lottery and they didn't want to give up the money without more identification. So take a good look - you might know him.
Your lucky uncle maybe?

Happy Holidays

There is a lot of holiday cheer - and holiday lights - in our neighborhood. Here is a house that must have stock in the local power company.
I wasn't able to get a pic of Sam's favorite house. It's one of those with the lights set to holiday music. But here is my favorite x-mas ornament. It was David's before we met and just looks so cool on the tree. His sister, Judy, gave it to him - she's got great taste!
Hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

Maybe It's Not Such A Good Idea...

Maybe you remember an old post where I pondered why they don't make more pink cars. Well I saw today why they don't.
That's right - it's for sale. Feel free to call.

And here they are 'in motion'...

Visibility

This isn't exactly what I had in mind for a white christmas.
But it sure does beat the colder temps and whipping winds of winters in DC.

He's A Fan

This is the shirt that Uncle Chris and his kids got Sam for his birthday. Sam's a starter fan for the Redskins. He can say 'Go Redskins' and 'Boo Cowboys' on cue.
Too bad the Skins keep choking around mid-season...ugh!

Holiday Spirit

I decided to show my holiday spirit in a new way this year - toe art
And Sam has decided to line up pieces of his train around the tree - just like Grandpa's train that goes around his tree. The kid likes trains.

This Is Me Excited

I just found out that my kid ate part of a cheeseburger....that's a feat for my little picky eater.
And then he got to go to a birthday party.

For My Brother

He's eating 'real' (pork) bacon - not the turkey bacon that I make at home. And yes, he likes it - a little.

Party Time

It's the day before Sam's birthday - but since his special day falls on a Sat, we're having a party at school today. So we've got cupcakes

and the birthday boy - does he look 3?

Recession, Really?

Some people aren't affected by this so called 'recession'.

Neighborhood Griswolds

I found our neighborhood Griswolds...and I only say this because it looks like they let their 8 yr old climb on the roof and hang these lights....slackers!

Celebrity Sighting

As some of you may know - the previous coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Bill Cowher, (that's football Michelle - ha!) moved to the Raleigh area after he retired. He and his wife both went to NC State and want to enjoy the area with their kids.

So, I took today off to run some errands and get ready for Sam's birthday party this weekend. First stop was Harris Teeter to order his Disney Cars birthday cake. As I was waiting for the bakery person, I turned around and saw Bill Cowher right beside me. It actually took me about 3 seconds to recognize him, but when I did - I was too flabbergasted to say anything more than 'Hey, how's it going' (I'm such a dork). But he was nice and replied - Hey and got his container of bakery chocolate chip cookies. Once I gained my composure, I whipped out my new cell phone and got a nice pic of his backside (yeah, I'm that good)
As exciting as that was, my 2 all time favorite guys are right here
