Ahoy Matey!

We decided to take Sam downtown to check out the newly reopened kid's museum - Marbles. They recently conjoined 2 former kids museums to produce this really nice one. There were TONS of things to do there - for kids of all ages. Sam really liked steering the ships, playing on their stage, making music with instruments and sitting in the rocking chairs. He especially liked their huge pirate ship - which mommy and daddy could climb on to play also. Check out our little sailor at the helm:

Los Tigros

Raleigh has lots of cabs - but they are mostly independent with 1 car at most. So distinguish themselves, they tend to get a little creative. Check out the car below - I wonder how you say 'They're Grrrrreat' in spanish?

Fun At The Mall

We had to go out this past weekend to get Sam some new shoes. His lace-up tennis shoes were getting a little tight and he had stepped in some of our neighbor's dog's poop that was left in our yard - argh! So we had a family outing to the mall near our house - Triangle Town Center. Inside the mall, they have a little play area for the little kids - it's called 'curiosity creek' and is complete with soft turtles, logs, slides, boat, etc. for the kids to climb and play. Well, Sam has been once or twice before, but didn't do a lot of playing. This time, he really seemed to enjoy himself. Check him out in action.

He was pretty good at driving the bus - luckily there was no one else on the road.
He also really enjoyed the slide - he went down this numerous times by himself.
And here is our little stunt man-in-training. First getting daddy's help getting up on a bigger turtle.
The set up - he prepares for his stunt. Check out that focus in his eyes.
And the fall. What style and grace. And a little help from daddy even though the floor was padded - you can never be too safe with our favorite little boy.
It's a lot of fun playing with him - as you can see. Aren't you jealous?

The B-Team

Remember that famous tv show The A-Team. Those 4 ex-military guys riding around in that sweet van saving people in need - all while running from the military police for a crime they didn't commit. Well, as I was out and about a few days ago, I ran across a van that I now call The B-Team van. It's a poser for sure but they are trying....check it out:

And check out these shocks....impressive.
