Avoid This Taxi!

If you must get a taxi in the Raleigh area - I highly suggest that you avoid this one.
He cut me off more than once and apparently has the battle scars of previous cut offs.

Stake Out

The cops like to stake out Durant Road in the mornings for speeders when kids are going to school. Personally, I'm ok with that - even though 99% of the kids don't walk to school around here.

'Cello scrotum'

This was an interesting read today - A medical ailment that has worried male members of string sections across the music world for over 30 years has been exposed as a hoax.

This car doesn't have enough stickers

Stay Classy

I saw this bumper sticker on a minivan this morning - way to be a role model to your kids.
'My Kid Can Whip Your Honor Student's Ass'....ugh!

This is how Scary Cat survived the blizzard - with some uggs and a scarf.

The Blizzard of 09

We got 6 inches of snow today. It was beautiful coming down.
Apparently this amount of snow is enough to shut down Raleigh for 2 days and for our new governor to declare a State of Emergency....groan.Our snow covered house the day after - looks treacherous huh?

It's Over - Move On

Christmas has been over for at least 3 weeks now - and yet this neighbor hasn't found the time or energy to take down their lawn decorations - slackers...

Pajama Day!

Sam's school does pajama day once or twice a year. I am very envious.
And here we are at dinner after we picked him up. I'd never been to a Red Robin, but it's actually very kid friendly.

Tow Job

I was surprised to see this sight
How often do you get to see a garbage truck towing a pickup. If the economy were better, I might would think someone actually threw it away.

Bundled Up

It's getting colder in NC. So Sam has started wearing his hat to school.

In Waiting

Sam and I have both had a cold and lingering cough for about a month now. So we finally went to the dr and got some meds. Here we are waiting for my dr
We were there for 1.5 hrs and saw the doc for about 5 mins...I kid you not. I am now looking for a new doctor. On the bright side, Sam learned about bronchial inflammation and artery blockages while we were waiting.

Rice Girl

I was a little surprised to see a lady driving this car.

Wake Up Randy

Sam seems to like to wait until he gets home from school to throw fits - here he is before we could even get his coat off.
At least he's not like this in public.

Boys Eating Meat

One of the few places that Sam will eat meat is now McDonald's. He'll eat about 1/3 to 1/2 of a cheesburger now - woohoo!

Impromptu Game

Apparently some of the kids in our neighborhood were quite bored on New Year's. So they decided to play a game of mailbox baseball.

The strange thing is that these kids were playing on foot - not in the back of a vehicle...and they actually live in my neighborhood. So maybe not the smartest kids.

Soccer Star

Sam has been playing soccer for about 6 months now. He likes it more now than he did when we first started. He even pays attention to the coaches when they are teaching the drills and games. Here he is in his new uniform
He had to get #3 because he's 3 yrs old now. I have a feeling we'll have to get a new uniform each year as he gets older.
