Sam is a picky eater like most toddlers - he'll eat the basic toddler diet which consists of mac-n-cheese (his fav), grilled cheese, spaghetti, chicken nuggets (but they have to be shaped like dinosaurs) and dinosaur or ABC123 pasta. Sometimes he's so picky he doesn't even want to eat those. But we've recently learned a new trick that can motivate him to eat his food.....threatening that mommy or daddy will eat it.
See here - we went to Red, Hot and Blue for dinner - Sam always gets the mac-n-cheese and it comes with 2 oreo cookies. After getting all or most of his mac and cheese down, we'll let him eat the cookies. He usually only likes the creamy filling - you can't blame here there - but we'd like to see him eat the actual cookie too. Here he is deciding what to do with the outer cookies:
And here he is cramming them in his mouth when we threatened to have mommy eat them:
Now if this would just work with spinach or steak!
